Awesome, awesome job of the crash scene re-enactment yesterday! Everyone did a great job (even the spectators). Proud of all of you! You can see part of it on www.wgem.com.

 There will be an FFA officer meeting last 10 minutes of 2nd homeroom today.

 Blood Drive today in the big gym until 2:00 p.m. Thanks to all who are going to donate and save a life! 

 4th Grade boys: Saukee Youth Football Camp forms and money must be turned in to office no later than Weds, May 26th.

 There will be no salad bar next week in the cafeteria! 

3rd & 4th Grade field trip scheduled for today has been rescheduled for Monday, May 24th.

 Ineligible list is due to office no later than 11:15 a.m. this morning. 

Juniors, the G.O. has received ten (10) copies of the Next Step. This issue is for juniors who plan on attending college. One of the articles is "juniors, everything you need to know about college ". Another article is how is college different or considering art school. If you are interested in this magazine come to the G.O. Graduation practices are Tuesday, May 25th during senior homeroom and Friday, May 28th at 9:00 a.m.

 Any high school girl interested in playing in the summer volleyball league at MacMurray needs to pay $10 to the office today and bring your receipt to Ms. Phipps.

 Seniors if you will need a final transcript sent to a college, please notify Mr. D. I will need to know the name of the college. 

Books are Fun orders need to be turned in by noon today to Tammy. Thanks! Today is the last day for collecting Pennies for Relay for Life. The classroom with the most pennies will receive a party!

 

Juniors will have open campus all week. Juniors will be dismissed at 1:00 each day for lunch. If you leave campus for lunch you cannot drive!!

   Elementary Teachers & students: All media center books are due back today! 

Last Chance: Lost & found box will be emptied today after school!

Tornadoes will play West Central at 4:30. Admission to the Boys Baseball Regional is $ 4.00. Ms. Phipps is ticket taker. We need a Ticket Taker for the Boys Baseball Regional on Saturday, May 22nd – game is at 11:00 a.m.  Please let the office know ASAP if you can help. Thanks, Mr. Wilson.

 PGP Track Sectionals at Macomb today at 4:00. Please dismiss team at 1:15. Bus will be here to pick up team at 1:30. Tomorrow: Lady Tornadoes will play North Greene at 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill.

 The 5th grade class will be gone on their trip today.

The 7th grade class will be gone on their trip Monday.  Permissions slips are due today.

 The library will be closed all day Friday.Books can be returned, however.   All library books are due Monday, May 24.  Library books must be returned and/or library fines must be paid before field trips/graduation. All outstanding lunch bills, library fines, etc., need to be paid and uniforms returned before class trips, graduation and end of the year activities are attended.

Students – Please be responsible when cleaning out lockers that books, ect., are returned to the proper places and trash is placed in wastebaskets. WooHoo!!!

   We have exceeded our goal of $300!  We are on the way to sponsoring a second veteran for the Honor Flight!  Continue to bring in your “Washingtons for Washington” next week and make it a reality!  Thanks to all who have donated!

 Track uniforms need to be turned into Mr. Wilson by the end of this week. 

We will be conducting a fire drill today.  Please review procedures as some have changed due to construction.  The fire department(s) will be responding.

 Volleyball camp registration forms and payment are due back in the school office by May 27th.

 The last day to take an AR quiz is Monday, May 24th.  Tests can be taken till the end of the day on May 24th.  The goal party will be Thursday, May 27th.

 Students – If anyone has one of these calculators - #31, #33, #34 or #36, please place it in Mrs. Zumwalt’s mailbox in the office.  Thanks so much for your help!

 There will be limited salad bar items next week.  Please do not sign up for salads. 

G-P Tornadoes Regional (hopefully) continues today with the Tornadoes playing West Central (Winchester) at 4:30 p.m.  Admission is $4.00 for everyone.  The only entrance to the ball diamond is Baldwin Street on the east side of the Middle School.  Parking will be limited behind the school but is available in the field to the east and on the south end of the building by the busses.  Please be respectful of the neighbor’s yards around the school.The Regional Championship is Saturday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m.

 After today – 5 days left!

 There are a few yearbooks left @ $10 each.  If you would like to purchase one please bring money by Friday.  Also a few yearbooks left from last year at the bargain price of $5.

   Registration forms for 2010 Saukee Youth Football Camp are due by May 28th.  Camp will be July 13-15 from 6-8 p.m. at Pittsfield High School.  Cost is $25.00 and this is for students going into 4th-8th grades.  Questions/more information can be obtained by calling Don Bigley at 217-285-6888 or 309-333-0938.

 Pike County Health Department will offer a babysitting class for interested young people aged 12 or older and/or those who have completed 6th grade.  This is a one day class which will be offered on Wednesday, June23, 2010.  The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the health department at 113 E. Jefferson St. in Pittsfield.  Registration is required.  Cost of the class is $10 per student.  Call 285-4407 for more information or to register for this class.  Space is limited so call soon.
